The HR Assistant performs confidential administrative tasks associated with the human resource management. Specific emphasis on support and back-up provided to the Employee Relations and Leave Administration functions. Performs all routine administrative functions associated with the department to include but not limited to: answering the phone, filing, clerical, and main greeter for visitors to the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
Processing incoming mail.
Process and update employee records in the Human Resource Information System.
Assists the HR Department in confidential tasks associated with Human Resource management of the Agency.
Monitors HR Help Desk tickets.
Process employee ID badges as needed.
Prepare Onboarding materials for distribution.
Processes employee candidate referrals.
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to organize and maintain auditing materials.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the multidisciplinary team.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality sensitive Employee Information
